Montessori Coaches Training helps coaches support strong, equitable Montessori practice.

When: May 15th-16th, 2026, 8:30 am–4:00 pm

This training provides coaches and administrators with a strong philosophical grounding, field-tested NCMPS tools and resources, and a detailed plan of action for supporting classroom teachers and working with leadership teams to help the whole school grow towards an environment supporting human development and flourishing.

Participants in this course will:

  • Learn to cultivate environments that promote human flourishing through a schoolwide community of reflective practice.
  • Analyze the whole school environment to prepare for coaching
  • Learn to help teachers feel safe, supported, and excited about the opportunity to collaborate and learn with their peers
  • Learn to use a wide range of NCMPS observation tools
  • Learn and role-play effective, supportive coaching conversations
  • Explore strategies for embedding coaching systems within the school environment to ensure long-term sustainability.

Participants will get access to tools from the NCMPS Montessori Assessment Playbook as well as tools specific to this training.

About the Instructor

Katie Mosquera holds an AMS Elementary I-II credential, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, an Educational Leadership certificate, and Maryland teacher’s and administrator’s licenses. She has worked as a public school teacher and administrator, and as a Montessori teacher educator and consultant. Katie lives in New Market, Maryland with her husband. Throughout Katie’s career, she has lived and worked in Bozeman, Montana, Modena, Italy, Perth, Australia, Charlottesville, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Frederick, Maryland.
