A Classroom that Works helps elementary Montessori teachers to promote work engagement and prevent challenging behaviors in students.

“Super practical, immediately actionable, led by a highly experienced public school MontessorianDakota is inspiring, engaging, and extremely responsive.”

Montessori teachers often come out of training with a picture in their minds that doesn’t match what they see in their classrooms, and no clear idea of how to even get close to that vision.

This in-depth, 36-hour course helps you get there. We cover essential classroom structures, critical adult and student mindsets, effective teacher-assistant relationships, and developing student agency and leadership.

Participants in this course will:

  • Assess student work engagement pre- and post-course
  • Develop and study a research question
  • Identify adult mindsets that lead to work engagement and flow
  • Create or improve conferencing routines
  • Analyze effectiveness of student journaling
  • Implement or improve student-led meetings
